Welcome to our website for the Crusader Worcestershire County League. We hope that you will find all the information you need. We have added copies of all the forms, which may be required by our clubs during the season including versions of the various ECB registration forms. The archive section has all final league tables and averages for the 2007 season. If you require any further details, please contact Chris Marsh, our league administrator: c.marsh@worcscl.org

2008 Season

It is my pleasure to introduce the information pages of the Crusader Worcestershire County League website for 2008. The League is now in its 10 th season as a feeder league to the Birmingham and District Premier Cricket League and continues to grow. We are grateful for the generous support of Crusader Sports (Worcester) Ltd. who are in their 6 th year as the League's main sponsors. Using the remaining funds from our Development account, we are able to provide substantial subsidies for players and officials to attend First Aid, Child Protection and Coaching courses.

Once again, it is pleasing to report that our standards have remained high and that the quality of cricket continues to improve. We look forward to another season of competitive cricket played in a positive spirit as usual. We also look forward to a considerable improvement in the weather.

We congratulate our 2007 Division 1 champions, Brockhampton and wish them luck in the Birmingham & District Premier League for this season. It is pleasing to report that no Worcestershire clubs were relegated from the Premier League last season and we are therefore able to promote an extra club form the 2 nd Division to the 1st division. We welcome Barnards Green, Netherton and Old Swinford to our top division. We are pleased to welcome 4 new clubs to our League - Burghill & Tillington, Kempsey, together with Bromsgrove and Himley (3 rd 's and 4 th 's). It is also encouraging to note that 8 clubs have added extra teams this season. These additions make our League the largest ever and we have again needed to shuffle the divisions to accommodate all clubs. We can be sure that, wherever they play, our teams will experience some challenging cricket in 2008.

We hope that our clubs and other visitors to our website will find the details useful and informative. We also hope that clubs will help us to keep the information up to date by informing the League administrator of any changes to club details. We also look forward to their usual co-operation with the results service which enables us to publish the very latest league tables and scores within hours of the close of play every week. We also provide wide coverage in the local media. We expect that there will be a greater presence on the Play-cricket.com site ( http://worcestershirecl.play-cricket.com/home/home.asp ) which will carry more detailed results and averages when clubs enter the particulars of their matches. We will be supporting clubs' IT administrators by providing Play-cricket training. Extra sessions will also be held for Captains' and new Umpires' on Saturday mornings in the spring.

We wish all Clubs and Umpires an enjoyable 2008 season.
